Many substances can cause harm to health if the appropriate precautions are not taken, including some substances that are not hazardous in themselves. This course will give you a basic overview of the COSHH regulations and how they help to protect workers.

Ensuring personnel are familiar with the requirements of the COSHH Regulations will help to reduce the risk of accidents, incidents and injuries in the workplace.

The Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations (COSHH).

Is there an assessment? 

Yes - This course has an assessment with a 80% pass mark and two attempts

• Recognise why COSHH is important for protecting workers’ health

• Identify considerations for COSHH risk assessments

• Recognise control measures for mitigating risks from hazardous substances

Due to the current COVID-19 situation, OPITO has altered the required processes to gain accreditation. You no longer have to attend an invigilation centre to complete this course, but must prove identity where required.
