This is course is for those who work with and have an exposure risk to benzene.

No previous experience is required to complete this course.

This course will benefit learners by providing them with an awareness of benzene and providing best practices for working with benzene in oil and gas producing facilities.

The course will benefit companies by ensuring that all possible precautions are taken to reduce accidents or injuries resulting from benzene exposure.

This course will benefit learners by making them aware of the risks of hand-arm vibration and the effects that it can cause.

This course will benefit companies by ensuring that personnel have an understanding of the risks of hand-arm vibration and in turn will reduce the number of injuries that result from this.

Yes

STCW Training programme for courses approved by the Norwegian Maritime Authority (NMA).

This training programme consists of three elements:

• This eLearning module (ETC: 45 minutes)

• Practical training onboard (ETC: 7 hours), and

• The final exam (ETC: 15 minutes) 

Please read through the Evaluation Procedure  for more information prior to starting the training programme.

Who is this course for:
Every seafarer with designated security duties onboard. This course is for those who are appointed to fulfil security duties, including anti-piracy and anti-armed robbery related activities on board a ship in accordance with the ship security plan.

No previous experience is required to complete this course.

How will this course benefit me?
By ensuring that you have achieved the  training requirements set out by the STCW Code.  This course will ensure that you are certified according to STCW A-VI/6-2.

Is there an assessment?
The exam includes questions on the theory aspects covered during the initial eLearning AND the activities completed during the onboard assessment. You should not attempt the exam until you have completed both aspects of the training.

Certificate:

When the training is completed a certificate is issued by the Norwegian Maritime Authority.

The Norwegian Maritime Authority charge an additional fee to issue the formal STCW Certificate.
