STCW training programme for courses approved by the Norwegian Maritime Authority (NMA).
The programme has three elements:
- This eLearning module (ETC: 90 minutes)
- Practical training onboard (ETC: 20 hours)
- Final exam (ETC: 60 minutes)

Personnel who require an insight into Norwegian maritime rules and regulations.
Is previous experience required?
No previous experience is required.

Is there an assessment?
The exam includes questions on the theory in the eLearning and the activities completed during the onboard assessment. Complete both before attempting the exam.
Certificate:
On completion, a certificate is issued by the Norwegian Maritime Authority. The Norwegian Maritime Authority charge an additional fee to issue the formal STCW Certificate.
