However, still most people tend to avoid risks when possible, because they think that inaction is often safer than action. The belief is that taking a risk is “exposing oneself to the possibility of loss or injury in the hopes of achieving a gain or reward.” But the legendary boxer Muhammed Ali stated “He who is not courageous enough to take risks will accomplish nothing in life.” In this course, you will learn to mitigate risks and start taking calculated risks.

The balance sheet is one of several financial reports that organizations use for monitoring and planning purposes. It is a snapshot of a company’s financials on a specific date. All balance sheets include three components: assets, liabilities, and owner’s (or shareholder’s) equity. The report shows the resources an organization owns (assets), how much money it owes (liabilities), and how much equity the owners (or shareholders) have after liabilities are subtracted from the assets. This is also called the net worth of the company. Some of the benefits of being able to read and understand a balance sheet include making better management decisions, identifying potential financial issues before they cause bigger problems, and improving your company’s organizational efficiency.

These rapid-fire methods of communicating have changed how we speak, how we receive information, and how we interpret the information we’ve received. Sometimes, these speed-of-light methods of connecting can affect our communication skills. Have you ever wondered if the receiver received your communication correctly or not? Do you evaluate the messages you send? This course will help you with tricks to communicate effectively using electronic media.

Objective: The purpose of the training is to provide users of work equipment mentioned in § 10-1 and 10-3 in «Regulations on the performance of work» (no. 1357), a good general basic training in the safe use of work equipment, so that accidents and accidents in connection with use is avoided.

The authorities set requirements for basic safety certification of persons who are to drive forklifts, mass transfer machines and cranes. The requirements include both theoretical and practical training. To complete the common theory, one must take and pass a theoretical exam.

Module 1.1 Working environment, responsibilities and consequences are common to machine, forklift and crane. If you can document that you have module 1.1 from before that is not older than 3 years, you can start right on module 2.3.

An important aspect of our operation is rooted in courses and training in flange work and bolted connections. We have been involved in the development of courses since OLF started their Gasslekasjeprosjekt (Gas-leakage project) in 2003, up until the updated requirements per NS-EN 1591-4 as of today.

Content:

The industries requirements in regards to training has provided improvements in the form of decrease in amounts of leakages both offshore and onshore. The executive operator gains better understanding and enhanced competence which further results in a safer work environment.

The fundamental course in flange work spans over 4 days, covering both theoretical- and practical training. Examination on both the theoretical and practical work will be conducted. Upon successful completion of the exams, a course certificate will be awarded. This certificate is valid for 5 years. To extend the validation of the certificate, a one-day refresher course must be completed before the expiration date of the certificate (within 5 years).
The refresher course prolongs the validity of the certificate for another 5 years upon completion.

The primary goal of the course is to provide necessary and required training which enables the individual to conduct independent work on flanges and bolted connections.

The course offers the attendees fundamental knowledge, inter alia:
