• Recognise the purpose and design of rescue and fast rescue boats

• Identify the training required to launch and operate a rescue or fast rescue boat 

• Describe the correct maintenance procedures and the Safety Equipment Certificate (SEC)

• Recognise safe practices for launch, recovery and communication with the rescue boat
